We have had a few thunderstorms; one was so bad that it flooded some
streets. This summer has been an extremely wet one for Canadian
standards. Most of the time it has been sunny.
We got transfer calls yesterday. I'M TRAINING!! And I'm going to be
district leader, so fun. Our district has basically every possible
type of leadership; they moved the zone leaders into our district, and
we have sister training leaders and the assistants. This will be fun.
Elder Andino goes home in two days. It is so weird. But awesome for
him.
We had the heritage days festival this weekend. It was a lot of fun.
We just walked around on Friday and ended up finding some service. On
Monday we collected donations in the morning and we helped with the
Puerto Rico tent selling juice. Heritage Days is a big festival that
benefits the food bank where people celebrate where they're from. Each
country represented gets a big tent where they sell food and sometimes
items from their country. Often they will have dancers that do
traditional dances or other cool things. There were tons of countries
and tons of people. We were at a juice stand, I don't think I have
ever drank as much juice:) it was a ton of fun.
We have been busy going around saying goodbyes. It has been fun to say
hello to those I knew in other areas and meet new people that I'm sure
I will meet again later. We have been well.
God bless you!
