This week has been up and down. Earlier was warm and sunny. The sun
feels so good! Then it snowed again Sunday. There was slush
everywhere. The ground is coming out of it's white shell, but a lot of
snow is still sticking around.

This week we got the most approaches I've ever had; we talked with or
tried to talk to 451 people last week. We taught a guy from Colombia.
He had apparently read a part of the Book of Mormon, and it explained
Leviticus 15. We looked it up later; that's a fun chapter. He had a
few weird ideas, but over all it was a good lesson.

Last night I almost got punched. Some drunk guy came at me and swung,
but I blocked it, and then we just walked away. Me and my companion
are both big guys; he would have stood no chance.

So life is good.

It went from -25 to +10 in less than a week. With windchill earlier
this week, we were in some of the coldest of the cold, and now it is
warm. Today was just beautiful. There are lots of puddles; Spring will
be coming soon.

This week was slow. We did a bit of finding, but not too much came of
it. We have been working hard. On Sunday we met a guy named art. He
was cool. We are trying to find more people to teach.

Overall it's been good.

It got real cold real fast. Plus it's been snowing, which covered up
all the brown that was starting to peek out after last week. Right now
it's -21, and it's been in around -20 ish for the past few days, and
with wind chill it gets down to -30 easy. We were out in some of the
worst of it knocking doors. Yesterday wasn't too bad because I brought
my biggest coat, but Sunday was quite cold as I just brought a jacket
and thin gloves. Even the slightest breeze was enough to to leave me
shivering. There's a saying "there's no such thing as bad weather,
just bad clothing" and that is definitely true.

Quick story related to that. Sunday we were knocking a few doors and
my toes were completely  numb. We kept knocking, and one person as
soon as he opened the door said "come in." There were about two other
families over to watch the Super Bowl, so I'm pretty sure he just
thought we were more guests. Luckily he was nice enough to actually
let us in. I told him who we were, and I said that the circumstances
might not be the best to sit down and talk about Jesus. He told us we
could warm up for a minute and he offered us food. Unfortunately it
was fast Sunday:( but it was still really awesome.

Trackting in -20 isn't fun under any condition, but we gotta do something.

Basically we have been doing a lot of finding. Some of the people we
are working with are planning to visit their country, so that should
slow things down for a while. Oh well, there's always more people to
teach.

Have fun and stay warm!

It has been above 0 C for most of the week, and a bunch of snow has
melted. It's kinda bad though, because that means all the snow became
water, which is now ice. Today is -12, and win wind chill it drops to
-20. The ice is pretty bad; I almost slipped on ice on some stairs
last night, and saved myself at the last moment with the handrail.
There is an unwritten rule that if a missionary slips they owe their
district Tim Hortons donuts at the next district meeting. Elder Nyman
will be bringing donuts:). Next week is supposed to go back to -20s,
so wish me well.

This week was awesome. We met Elder Echo Hawk of the Seventy his week.
He taught us how the process of assigning missionaries works, and he
gave a powerful witness of how the Lord calls prophets. It was a
really cool experience. Plus we also got trained by the missionary
department, with special changes made to the schedule and key
indicators. That was awesome as well.

We had three people at church this week! Two were less active members
we were working with, but still three people at church is unheard of.
We also had a bunch of lessons, and something big went down with one
of our Investigators, so things will be interesting.

Also, not related to anything, but we moved a couple driers for the
Ronald McDonald house. That was fun. I got shocked, but nothing too
crazy. There was a lot of jerry rigging to make it work.

So yea, life is good.
