A Calm Week

This week has been nice for temperature. It has been a good week.

Stephanie moved her date to be baptized to Friday the 23! She wanted
to invite a bunch of friends, and a lot of people  couldn't make it
July first because that's Canada day, so we moved the date up. She is
exited to be baptized. The opposition has been trying to work on her
as well; some of her friends came by and decided to leaver her a pack
of cigarettes. She had her friend come over and tear them up. She is
going strong.

We had a little miracle with Stephanie this week. We were trying to
find someone to come with us to a lesson, but literally everyone we
called was busy. I was praying that someone would be able to come with
us. Than a few hours before the lesson, brother Crawford called us. He
likes to invite us over for lunch sometimes, and we asked him if he
would like to come with us. He said sure, and we had a good lesson. It
was just a little miracle, but it was definitely a miracle.

We did some service for the Darbies. The had a lot of big logs they
needed to split with a mechanical splitter. I took an axe and did a
few on my own. It felt good swinging an axe. They have a really nice
acreage.

We have been doing well. Elder Sepulcri has been sick, so that was a
bummer. He's felling better now, so that's good.

Some Rain

This week has been calm. There have been a few rainstorms, but nothing huge.

This Saturday we met with Elder Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve
Apostles. We got to shake his hand. He talked to us about his mission
and lots of other things. It was a really good meeting. We also had
zone conference the day before. Then we went to the temple. It was
really spiritual.

We have been doing well. There's not to much different. Stephanie has
been progressing toward baptism. She is doing well with quitting
smoking. We found a new Investigator. He is the grandson of a former
Investigator that missionaries have been teaching for a long time. He
is very spiritual but they don't go to a specific church. We shared a
simple lesson on the restoration with him. Hopefully we can help him
progress.

Things are doing well here in Innisfail. We are trying to keep busy.

Service and Sunburned

This week has been nice. It has been perfect weather for service, which we have been doing a lot of. I got a nice little sunburn, so that was fun. There have been random storms, but nothing too bad.

We have been doing a lot of service for a less active family, Rebecca and her fiancée Cam. Their landlord told them the Thursday before this Thursday that in two weeks he would be coming by to do an inspection. Their house is pretty dirty but mainly super cluttered. We have spent at least ten hours there cleaning. We came by on Saturday morning, and because Cam was at work, we weren't able to help inside. we cleaned their yard, and hence the sunburn. We called a member to come and help fix their fence gate. It went from a complete disaster to actually working. He reinforced it with at least twenty screws. Then when there wasn't anything left to do outside, two sisters from the relief society showed up and started helping. We got there at 8 and left at 5. She came to church, which is a miracle on it's own, and we came back on Monday for about three hours. There were three more sisters helping. The house went from destroyed to actually livable. Plus, before all this, we had a really good lesson on the Atonement of Christ, and how that can help her in her life. She said if it really helps, she will quit smoking.

We found a new Investigator family in a miraculous way. There are some members that own a home in Innisfail that they rent. The renters that just moved in asked them if they knew a minister that could come and bless their home. They sent us :). We talked with them and they are a super nice family. Vohne, the man, looked a bit rough, but he is super nice and gentle. We blessed their home, and then we shared a message about the Book of Mormon. They said we could come back any time. It was such a miracle.

Stephanie is doing well. We had a really solid lesson on Sunday. We moved her baptismal date to July 1 (which is also Canada Day), and is also my last Saturday in the mission. It was basically an answer to a prayer. She also dyed her hair pink, so that's fun.

We have been doing great.
